Lavender Cottage

~ Sleeps 2/3

Built of Cornish stone, Lavender is Listed grade II and converted from potting shed to dolls house, this cottage is perfect for a single person or couple. Tucked into the corner of a walled garden this is a really enchanting and magical place to stay.

There is room for a third person if using the single sofa bed and there is just room for a cot at the end of the 4’6 double bed in the tiny double bedroom.

Upstairs the small double bedroom has a 4’6″ bed with a very small bathroom next door, which has a shower over the bath.

Downstairs is an attractive little sitting room with a comfortable single sofa bed and a log burner.  Leading off from this room is an airy and light kitchen diner, with  French doors  opening onto a sunny patio which overlooks the private walled garden.

It has  night storage heaters and electric fires to keep the cottage warm along with the wood burner.

A door leads through the garden wall to a car space off the main road.  The patio is given privacy from the Place walled garden by a hurdle fence and leaning over it is a fruiting fig tree and  apple tree.

The small terrace is a secret and sheltered sun trap and even in the high season is an oasis of peace.

It is approximately 200 yards from the launching slipway and dinghy park.

Lavender has excellent broadband and wi-fi.

Up to 3 well-behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week

Reviews

“We had a lovely stay at Lavender Cottage ……………..”

“Your Lavender cottage is such a wonderful place.
Beside that we both had to recover from a cold the first days, I can not see a better place to get back on the track. Walks allong the coastline, or just relaxing on the beach, or the sunset walk up to St.Anthony Head, or hanging out in the little sun trapp couryard. Whatever we did, we did with great pleasure”.    Guest from Germany

“I was particularly struck by the peace and quiet – the silence at times was almost deafening (the only way to describe it). We would go out on the patio at night to take in the stars (and the lovely bats) and could not hear a thing! Even the Robins in the garden couldn’t wait to say hello and appeared on the fence as soon as we arrived! It was a piece of heaven on Earth!”

“We just wanted to say that we loved staying at Lavender Cottage, it is such a little gem and so peaceful. Of course we were very lucky with the weather!  We hope to return another time in the future.”

“Well, what can we say?! We both had a wonderful 2 weeks in Lavender Cottage and can’t wait to go back next year. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the cottage, its wonderfully idyllic surroundings and all the lovely people we met….”
